Hall News

At the recent Hall AGM, John Gaunt (above right) stood down from his position as Treasurer after being in the role for 3 years.  John has been invaluable with his help, not only ‘project managing’ the renovation of the hall, but with the installation of solar panels, upgrading our booking system and many other tasks thrown his way!  The Trustees would like to thank him for all his hard work and dedication to the hall, which is enjoyed by our community and beyond. His role has been taken over by Steve Kemp.

At the same meeting, Neil McHattie (above left) stood down from his position as Convener of the Board of Trustees.

Neil has been invaluable during his time as Convenor,  successfully managing the transition from the initial plans to build a new hall, which was found impossible due to lack of funding post-Covid, to the decision to renovate the much-loved existing Hall.   Since then it's been a busy few years, with lots achieved, and the Trustees would like to thank Neil for his relentless commitment and significant contribution, which not only improved the hall but also strengthened the sense of community it fosters. Although Neil is handing over the Convenor role to Derek Johnson, he's not disappearing altogether and fortunately is still happy to remain as a trustee .
